Our story

Knowledge is human.
Its reach can be greater.

Behind every useful idea is a person who spent time seeing things differently. We’re creating another way to learn from that perspective.

when they’re shared.

A shared starting point

What if more people
could ask?

Dynamic Experts was founded in February 2025 by David Teece and Steve Outtrim. They brought two perspectives to the same question: how could the knowledge of experienced thinkers become accessible to more people?

SudoExperts are designed to give people a new way to explore an expert’s work. Not a replacement for the person, but another way into the ideas they have developed—with their permission and involvement.

A question can become a conversation. A familiar framework can meet a new situation. And knowledge that once stayed on the page can become part of how someone thinks through what comes next.

The people behind Dynamic Experts

Expertise meets
possibility.

David Teece, co-founder of Dynamic Experts

Co-founder

David Teece

The Berkeley Haas strategist behind the Dynamic Capabilities framework. His research explores how organizations sense opportunities, act on them and adapt as the world changes.

David brings the perspective of a scholar, teacher and adviser to businesses and governments. His work is also the starting point for SudoDavid, a new way to engage with those ideas.

Co-founder & CEO

Steve Outtrim

A technology entrepreneur whose work began with HotDog, the web authoring software he created in 1995. His experience spans building businesses, backing founders and bringing new technology to wider audiences.

At Dynamic Experts, Steve brings that builder’s perspective to a shared ambition: giving more people a way to engage with expert knowledge.

Explore education

The person matters.
So does your perspective.

We start with human knowledge, not a fictional identity. The source of an idea and the person behind it are part of what make it valuable.

You bring the other half: your situation, curiosity and judgment. The point is to open up a useful line of thinking—not ask you to hand over your own.
